This website is designed to inspire Chicago comedians to lend a helping hand in not only exposing their craft by performance shows, but to help our selected local charitable organization through financial support from some of the proceeds from their comedy shows yearly. We want to add to the continued creation of an environment in which all Chicago-area comedians, black, white, gay, straight, young, old and even mainstream comedians who already have made a success of themselves from Chicago and other locations to help support local selected charities in Chicago as well as through their comedy shows. Up & comings local comedic talent can work with us to expand our work. We want to also support other comedy websites & comedy groups that sponsor charity in the greater Chicago area. We all can make a difference and we can work to support each other with comedy talent collectively.

Chicago, Illinois is the birthplace of many famous comedians black & white, male & female, gay & straight who have blazed a pathway for many of the new up & coming comedians today. The Bernie Macs, Jane Lynch's, Dick Greggory's, John Belushi's, Little Rel's, Steve Harvey's, Joan Cusack's, Chris Farley's, Cameron Esposito's, Joan Rivers, Rodney Dangerfield, Bill Murray, Damon Williams, Leon Rogers and so many others just to name a few who have made us all laugh with their comedy over the years. Some are known and many you may have never heard of but regardless they made their contribution to helping to make people laugh in the comedy world. The future is always bright for us to showcase Chicago comedians and to help create an online presences where people can come to a website and get more information on where they can get their laugh on. It is not just this website but others that help charitable causes with their efforts. We all can make a difference to continue to bring joy through comedy. We need hundreds of people to sign up and lend their dollars to support local comedy shows for charity and to help these comics extend their careers. Donations are prearranged based on ticket sales or made from the comedians to the charity that's how it works. As an example, if a comedian makes $5 on a show total for that night he or she can choose to donate a portion of that $5 or get with us next time, when he or she makes $500.00 or more if they are connected long term. It is still the comedians choice to donate or not, we are trying to help comics live their best life through this innovative idea as well as support local charity.
We all should spend our dollars for the support as a collective and as a large Chicago community. We are challenged to make a difference and to put our money where are mouth is to support various causes. To give from the heart, to care, to share and to contribute to our City of Chicago through comedy & charity. The City of Chicago is famous for its collective history and especially its comedic history. Ms. Allie Kay new to the comedy world is contributing with her brand of comedy is one of those comics who is making a difference everyday...
Chicago is a beautiful city and it is full of comedians of all races, sexes and we all have a story to tell. The ones who tells the best stories usually can make a career of it and be employed doing what they like doing comedy on stage, TV, or movies. Whatever your interest or desire can be achieved but it takes a game plan of at least starting. Chicago has a family of comedians who appear all over the city and go out of town to do comedy gigs as well. The well known more successful Chicago comics to the ones less known who still grind every week to become more exposed & successful. The ones who are out there know who they are & who are a member of Chicago's secret club of grinding comedians. Most of them are very funny and they tell stories about situations that most of us are familiar with on a regular basis. COVID-19 had changes us all over the last few years, we try to find still something to laugh about, against all the pain & suffering we see everyday on top of the levels of city violence. We think that the only saving grace is comedy for us all to find joy in laughter and feeling good as often as possible. We have to remain hopeful for a better tomorrow and for the future we need to laugh more often.
The Open Mic-it is a way for all seasoned & new comics who think they are funny to exhibit their craft or try out new material in various clubs, bars, restaurants, private events or private locations to perform most of the time in front of a group of complete strangers. It takes a lot of dedication and commitment to be courageous every time you take the stage to give it your all. To be versatile in performing in front of various audiences your brand of humor is a skill that usually is only developed in front of a live audience who can at times be a challenge. The open mic usually allows roughly 5 minutes or less give or take if you have the material to go the distance. The whole thing about open mics opportunities is for you to enhance your comedic craft by introducing new material & testing out the response to that material. Just because the audience you performed in front of laughed at some of your joke don't mean the next audience will. But that's the whole thing you can make every audience laugh it is all about the material that can put your brand of comedy on the laugh map. You have to also develop a skill set that continues to build on your fan base and in time you will be able to sell out shows because of your brand of comedy.
